The "News" Icon

The News icon is visible to Admins only and provides newsworthy notices and updates about your site. These can include new features, current technical problems, maintenance notices or feature spotlights for learning more about your site's features. If any new items have been added since the last time you checked them, a red dot with the number of new articles will appear on top of the icon. After a period of time, this dot will begin to move and bounce as a reminder to check the latest news. As soon as you click on the News icon to see the headlines, the dot will cease moving and turn grey, indicating you're up to date.
