If a user forgets or wishes to change his or her password, it can be reset one of two ways.
Note: This method assumes a user has been given the "Allow this user to reset their password?" permission in their user settings. The easiest way is for user to reset their own password. On the login screen below the Password field is a link called "Trouble logging in?". Clicking this will open a screen that allows the user to enter their username and click Submit. The system will email the user a new temporary password they can then log in with (and then ask them to change to one of their own choosing). If the user cannot remember their username, they will need to contact a site Admin or Super User for that information or have the them reset the password (see method #2).
- The password can be reset by a site Admin, Super User, or Sub-admin. Admins and Super Users can reset the password for any user and a Sub-admin can reset the password for users of workspaces the Sub-admin manages. When logged in as an Admin, Super User, or Sub-admin, go to Manage > Users, roll over the Actions menu to the right of a user's name and select Reset Password. The system will email the user a new temporary password they can then log in with (and ask them to change to one of their own choosing).
